Reportedly Terrell Owens (49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bengals, Bills) possible hall of famer has been offered a six figure contract int he Indoor Football League ESPN reports.

That would be an AWESOME DEAL for him, but honestly this makes me (personally) mad. Being that I will be playing for the UIFL which is basically the exact same league kind of what the NFL is to the CFL, same game different yardage of playing field and number of players on the field. This makes me mad because he was offered 6 figures, up to half a million dollars ($500,000).

Why does this make me mad? Because every player in that league and my league, the league cap is about $250-$400 a game for around a 16 game season. Ultimately a maximum of $6,400. NOT EVEN A QUARTER (1/4) OF WHAT TERRELL HAS BEEN OFFERED!!!!!!!

What also makes me mad about this…Steven A. Smith put his two cents in saying that Terrell should not do this because (along with other things) “playing in a league where a guy is coming from their welding job coming from their construction job…” making it sound like the league is for a bunch of dreamers who will never get an actual shot at another professional team. Making it sound like the guys have no college athletic experience or no experience at all.

This league may have guys coming from other jobs to bust their butts on this playing field, but is not just some regular joes coming to play a pick up game for fun to relive their glory days. From what I have researched, some of these guys are really TALENTED and just were never able to get in front of the right people to show case their talents. NAIA guys…D-3 guys…D-2 guys…even BCS D-1 players are in this league. Guys are coming to these leagues to play to get more film, to get bigger/better/stronger/faster, so to make it seem like this league is a joke is RIDICULOUS!

Do I think T.O. should play in this league, he loves this game. He is a professional football player. He’s played in the NFL for over a DECADE as a start WR one of the most prolific athletes in the world. If he still has that drive to play, I say why not? But if he is only doing this for money, he is going to have a hard time in the league, just because, like Steven A said…there are going to be a lot of guys trying to get after him to make a name for themselves. And if he is not aware he could be injured or something like that. 

Ultimately it will be his decision. Just wanted to voice my opinion on it.

Me, I am going to DOWNTOWN HOLLYWOOD. Partying it up with some close friends. It is my friend J-Rocs Birthday tonight and we are going to be living it up out there with him. Should be a fun night, it always is when Clubs and this group gets together.

GOODBYE 2011! Hello 2012! A new year to start things off fresh (for 365 days at least). A lot of great things have happened to me in 2011 that I will never forget! I love my family and friends and everyone that I have came in contact with this past year. BUT I am looking forward to progress. Looking forward to an opportunity to arise for me to make a little bit more of myself. Not just for me, but for my family as well. I have been relying on them since birth, I want to be able to provide for my family in a stable way this year, maybe not in the HUGEST way possible but SOMETHING is better then nothing.

I am looking forward to moving back to Ohio and playing the game I LOVE with the CANTON COUGARS, I am hoping this will allow the opportunity that I have always dreamed of to come true. I will be working my hardest EVERY DAY to achieve that goal and NO ONE…NO ONE! will get in my way. This another step that I have to take, and my foot is already on the step to success. I just need to be able to put my full weight on it, push off and put my next foot on the next step.

2012 will bring many opportunities to every one. It is about how you, yourself, want to go about taking them. It is not always a clear path, at times it will get foggy, but you have to take a DEEP breathe inhale, close your eyes, and just exhale to blow that fog away. Regardless of how 2011, turned out (bad or good) try to strive for something better. Never settle for good or great, try to work towards fantastic maybe even extraordinary!!! There is so much to accomplish in just 365 days people.

These New Years Resolutions are not just something you SAY. Be about it! I have done, and heard some resolutions that many people do not stick to (including myself). “Start off the year right” or “End the year right” what about the time between January and December? A lot of people work so hard to accomplish a goal, get a taste of it and think that is enough. A TASTE IS NEVER ENOUGH! Get to where you want to be in life, do not settle for something less! Do not settle for something you are not happy with. If you can sit there and say that I tried my hardest to accomplish my goal/resolution and still ended up not happy. You are not working hard enough. Plane and simple.

From me to you, have a wonderful New Years Eve. Do not ruin your chances of fulfilling your goals by doing something reckless tonight. Love Peace and Chicken Grease. haha 2012!!!!!!

Right now I have been a fan of a couple TV shows, but as far as I have seen so far…there are only two that had me clinging to my seat waiting for the next episode/season to start.

1) Prison Break: This thrilling Television series literally had me and my roommates in college up until 4am watching the episodes after football practice. It has drama, love and action. I do not know how to describe this without giving away the best parts of this 4 (then the final break season ender) season series.

This show is about a WHOLE lot of things but starts out when Lincoln Burrows is charged with the murder of a vice president, he insists that he is innocent and his brother, Michael Scofield is the only that believes him. Michael is determined to prove his brothers innocence at any cost. This is where the title “Prison Break” comes in. Michael is a highly intelligent structural engineer with a psychiatric history of only wanting to help others. He commits a crime that lands him in the same prison as his brother. With the blue print of the prison they are in deeply HIDDEN in his upper body tattoos, he plans to break them out with clever thinking and a little help.

This show does not stop there that is only season 1 of 4. Imagine the things that happen in the next 3 seasons. It is a great series to watch if you are ever wanting to get into a series. The crazy ways these group of people get out of trouble because of the intelligence of Michael will definitely keep you wanting more.

2) Sons of Anarchy: Sons of Anarchy, aka SAMCRO, is a motorcycle club that operates both illegal and legal businesses in the small town of Charming. They combine gun-running and a garage, plus involvement in porn film. Clay, the president, likes it old school and violent; while Jax, his stepson and the club’s VP, has thoughts about changing the way things are, based on his dead father’s journal. Their conflict has effects on both the club and their personal relationships.

I have just started this series and I am just as addicted to watching every episode of this as I was of Prison Break. This is a GREAT show. With a lot of violence that may not want to be watched, but a lot of action, love, and DRAMA. I just finished season 2 of 4 and it is only looking to get better. I am not a huge biker fan, but man does this make me want to get one  and join one of these clubs (well not exactly a club like that, well not a club at all. It would just be cool to think about I guess haha). The series is great and I cannot wait to start the next season!

I know it may be illegal and I apologize to all those who are offended but I love watching movies and am a cheapo when it comes to seeing them at the movies lol.

Plus there are sooooooooooo many benefits of being able to watch new movies in the comfort of your own home

*you dont have the annoying line of people in front of you deciding on what movie to watch

*you don’t have those same annoying people guessing the plot of the movie…talking throughout the while movie or CHOMPING the mess out of their snacks

*you dont have to pay $20 for a small popcorn and soda

*and last but not least you get to enjoy the movie from your coach or comfy chair lol
